Natalie Benson, CPNP
Natalie Benson, MSN, RN, CPNP-PC, has lived her entire life in the mountains of Virginia. While working on her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, she volunteered with her local rescue squad as an EMT, where she found her love for emergency medicine. She started her first job as a Registered Nurse at Carilion Roanoke Memorial, where she spent many years working in the Emergency Room, predominantly with pediatrics. She then went on to work in various Pediatric Emergency Departments as a travel nurse. She loved the opportunity to travel to various areas to do what she loved, which is taking care of children. She met her husband while working in the ED in Roanoke, and after having their child, she returned to school to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing and become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She attended Maryville University while also working full-time on the pediatric unit. After finishing her degree, she spent some time working as a PNP at a pediatric primary care clinic in Martinsville, VA. She then got the opportunity to return to Roanoke, where she started her nursing journey, to begin working at Physicians to Children.
When not working, you may see Natalie exploring restaurants, enjoying a cup of coffee, or reading a new book on her Kindle. Her favorite holiday is Halloween, and she takes a special interest in mental health advocacy.
