Meredith M. Arthur D.O.
Dr. Arthur grew up in Southern New Jersey outside of Philadephia, where she was very involved in the performing arts. During undergrad at Towson University she rowed with the Crew team daily before classes in Baltimore's Inner Harbour and graduated Summa Cum Laude with two Bachelor of Science degrees in Molecular Biology and Psychology. Medical School and training took her to Long Island, NY for 7 years. She earned her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her pediatric training at a dual accredited program between Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, NY and Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY. After practicing over six years on the DelMarVA Peninsula, she relocated to Smith Mountain Lake to join Physicians to Children in 2014.
Dr. Arthur is board certified by both the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics. She has been a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2007.
Dr. Arthur's husband, Joseph, was born and raised in Botetourt County. They have three boys- Anderson, Remington and Jameson. Dr. Arthur enjoys kayaking , traveling, bargain shopping and spending time with her family.
